This is an informal small session open to everyone delivered by The Spotted Dog Flower Co and the wreath is yours to take home at the end of the day. A great way to get you in the festive mood.
This event includes hot drinks and mince pies, session starts 10am-12.30pm.
Linda owns The Spotted Dog Flower Co. in Blyton where she grows flowers for weddings, bouquets, funerals and other events and runs workshops throughout the year she is a passionate supporter of the strong resurgence in the British flower industry and in doing so uses only seasonal flowers and whatever nature has to offer, incorporating this into her workshops.
In this workshop Linda will demonstrate the process of making a traditional Christmas wreath from scratch using a mossed wire base. This will be suitable for hanging on a door or alternatively to decorate a table. Then it will be your turn to fill your wreath with an amazing array of lovely sweet smelling foliages, you will make use of everything from traditional mixed firs, to eucalyptus, vines, rosemary silver birch, ivy and more and then decorate to your taste, with or without ribbons, cones and baubles.
No experience necessary. Price includes light refreshments, all materials and aprons. If you have sensitive hands please bring your own gloves.
